Welcome to Galaxy Foods Online ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to providing a smooth and reliable shopping experience for our customers. This Shipping Policy outlines important information about our shipping process and delivery services.

1. Domestic Shipping

We are pleased to offer delivery throughout the United Kingdom, including mainland UK and offshore locations.

2. Weight Restrictions

Please note that we cannot currently deliver orders exceeding 30kg in total weight. If your order surpasses this limit, you will be contacted to discuss alternative arrangements. However, for pickup orders, there is no weight limit, so please feel free to order as much as you like!

3. Free In-Store Pickup (Milton Keynes Only)

Enjoy discounted in-store prices with our free in-store pickup service. These prices are shown on product pages but will not appear in your online checkout total due to technical limitations. Instead, we will contact you with the correct total once your order is approved. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Collect your order from our Milton Keynes store at your convenience and choose to pay by cash, card, or bank transfer upon pickup. You will be notified via email or WhatsApp when your order is ready for collection.

4. Estimated Delivery Times

We aim to dispatch all orders within 24-48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays). Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with an estimated delivery timeframe. Please note that the following estimated delivery times are calculated from the date of dispatch:

  • Local Milton Keynes: Typically within 24 hours of receiving order.
  • Mainland UK: Typically delivered within 2-4 working days.
  • Northern Ireland: Typically delivered within 4-7 working days.
  • Scottish Highlands & Islands: Typically delivered within 4-7 working days.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control, such as weather conditions and courier delays. We are not responsible for any delays caused by unforeseen circumstances or customs clearance for offshore deliveries.

5. Free Shipping

Enjoy complimentary shipping on all orders over £50. Add your items to your basket, and the delivery fee will be automatically deducted at checkout.

6. Shipping Charges

For orders below £50, we charge a flat fee based on the delivery location:

  • Mainland UK: £5.00
  • Northern Ireland: £18.00

The shipping fee will be added to your order total at checkout. Delivery times and further details will be provided upon completion of your purchase.

Please Note: Due to some limitations with Shopify's system, we are unable to apply the correct shipping charge for some offshore UK delivery locations. Therefore, we kindly ask customers from these regions to pay the additional shipping charge to cover the delivery fee when we contact you upon fulfilling your order. The following extra fee will be added in addition to the standard UK flat fee:

  • Scottish Highlands and Islands: £5 (paid at checkout) + £13

We deeply apologise for the inconvenience of this method and assure you that we are actively seeking a better alternative for the future.

7. Frozen & Chilled Delivery

We use adequate thermal protection and next-day delivery services for frozen and chilled shipping to ensure your order arrives as fresh as possible. If your order includes frozen items, only next-day shipping will be available at checkout.

Please note that, despite our best efforts, rising temperatures or occasional delays in transit may cause frozen products to arrive defrosted and spoiled. Galaxy Foods will not be responsible for this; no refunds will be given. We advise against consuming any spoiled items. If you experience this issue, please get in touch with us immediately to work out a reasonable solution.

We can only deliver frozen and chilled goods to locations within the mainland UK. For orders below £50, we charge a flat fee of:

  • Mainland UK: £8.00 (Next Day Delivery)

This shipping fee will be added to your order total at checkout. Delivery times and further details will be provided upon completion of your purchase.

Our cut-off time for next-day dispatch is 3pm, Monday to Friday. Orders placed before 3pm will arrive the next day, while orders placed after 3pm will arrive the day after next.

Finally, once your parcel has been received, please place these items in the freezer immediately.

8. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number. You can use this tracking number to monitor the status and location of your package.

9. Amendment of Orders

Deliveries will be made to the shipping address provided during the checkout process. It is your responsibility to ensure that the shipping address is accurate and complete. We are not responsible for orders delivered to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

If you need to make changes to the shipping address, it is free of charge if the parcel has not been dispatched. However, once the parcel has been dispatched from our warehouse, you will be responsible for paying any additional fees incurred from changing your delivery details with the courier. We will contact you with the exact pricing if this is the case.

10. Missed Delivery

If you are not available to receive your package, the courier may leave it in a secure location or make additional delivery attempts. If delivery is unsuccessful after multiple attempts, you may need to arrange a pickup or reschedule the delivery with the courier company. Any extra charges incurred from these additional courier services will be your responsibility to pay.

11. Damaged or Lost Items

While we take great care in packaging your order to prevent damage during transit, accidents may still occur. If you receive damaged items, please contact us immediately with clear photos of the damaged products and packaging. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly. If your order is lost in transit or does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please reach out to us, and we will initiate an investigation with the courier company to locate your package or provide a suitable resolution.
